Overview
The Panel Tufted Bed has a headboard split into four upholstered panels by vertical piped seams, with the two centre panels stepped slightly taller than the outer pair. The same panelled treatment continues down the base sides on short block legs, and the slatted deck lifts on gas struts from the head end.
Vertical Panel Seams
Piped seams divide the headboard into four upright panels running from its base to its top edge, each panel a plain, flat rectangle of fabric. The same vertical seams carry down onto the side panels of the base below.
Stepped Top Edge
The two centre panels of the headboard rise slightly higher than the outer panels, giving the top edge a shallow stepped profile rather than a straight line. The step is small and repeats the panel widths below it.
Gas-Lift Storage
A pair of gas struts under the slatted deck lifts it upward as one piece from the head end, holding it open at an angle. This opens a single storage cavity that runs the full length of the panelled base.
