Overview
The Tufted Velvet Armchair has a raked back set with a two-by-two grid of buttons across its upper half, above a fully upholstered seat and boxy track arms with flat tops. A loose seat cushion sits inside the frame with a visible gap at its base, and four straight wooden legs splay outward at each corner.
Button-Tufted Back
Four buttons are stitched into the top half of the backrest in a two-by-two grid, pulling the velvet into shallow diamonds around each point. The lower half of the back stays smooth and unstitched, meeting the seat cushion below it.
Track Arms
The arms form flat-topped panels that run parallel to the seat and stop square at the front corner. Their straight lines contrast with the softer, tufted curve of the back above them, framing the seat on both sides.
Splayed Wood Legs
Four straight wooden legs angle outward from each corner of the frame in a natural, unstained finish. The outward splay lifts the upholstered body well clear of the floor at every corner of the chair.
