Overview
The Modern Upholstered Swivel Armchair has a curved back that flows without a break into the arms on both sides, forming one continuous line from shoulder height down to the seat. Low on the backrest, a gap is cut through the upholstery, and the whole seat turns on a solid, fully upholstered cone-shaped base.
Wraparound Back
The backrest curves down on both sides without a seam, becoming the arms as it goes, so the back and arms read as one continuous upholstered shape rather than separate parts joined together.
Cut-Out Back Gap
Low on the backrest, just above the seat, a gap is cut clean through the upholstery on each side. The opening breaks up the solid mass of fabric and lets light pass through the base of the chair.
Upholstered Cone Base
Instead of an exposed metal frame, the base is a solid cone wrapped in the same fabric as the seat, wide at the floor and narrow where it meets the seat, and it turns freely.
