Overview
The Swivel Armchair is a barrel chair fully wrapped in velvet, with a continuous C-shaped back that curls around the seat and opens low at the front on both sides to form the arms. The chair sits on a solid upholstered trumpet base that widens toward the floor, with no visible legs or frame anywhere.
C-Curve Back
The backrest forms one unbroken curve that rises tall at the centre and drops down at both front corners. The drop leaves an open gap at the sides that doubles as a low armrest on each face.
Upholstered Trumpet Base
The base is a solid cone wrapped in the same velvet as the seat, narrow where it meets the underside of the chair and wide where it reaches the floor. No frame or leg is exposed anywhere on the base.
Velvet Nap
The fabric carries a soft directional nap that shifts tone across the curve of the back and the slope of the base. The sheen changes with the angle of the surface beneath it at every point.
